This Image was shot with a Olympus OM-1 camera with Fuji 100 ISO film back in 1984. I was just starting out and was INSANE enough to do what ever it took to get the shot. Yes, This is a JET ENGINE on wheels and I used a 28mm WIDE ANGLE lens while standing about 5 feet in front of the car.

Yes it is a set up shot, but I only had SECONDS to use the in camera meter on the flames to the rear, then set the flash to that value as well as the camera and shoot.

The real pay off is that it was used by the REPCO Auto Parts Company in Austrailia as there Poster for that following year. Was the first major sale I had as a Pro.

This is still my favorite image of all that I've shot. The model, Audra, was Miss Teen NH at the time and I titled this "Into the light". The main light was a big softbox  placed beside and above the model. She was draped with a satin cloth. The backdrop was black velour and we used a fog machine. One background light was used opposite the main light shooting into the fog with a dark blue gel.

Shot with medium format Bronica with 150mm lens, a B+W soft image filter was used. The Film was 160asa Fuji NPC color print film.
