The PhotoChatters site is JUST FOR FUN. It is a web site for amateur, advanced amateur, and professional photographers to display their images.
-MUG SHOTS: totally optional, but it's always nice to put a face with the people you are chatting with.
-MONTHLY CONTEST: We have contests on a monthly basis if we can find someone to sponsor it. The sponsor pays the prize money, and gets to choose the subject for the contest. Send the images to PHOTOGIF@AOL.COM with the subject line stating that it is for the Monthly Contest. The Contest images must be current images, shot during the time period of the contest. Sometimes we allow a little time latitude, but the whole idea is get people out and shooting.
-MONTHLY ASSIGNMENT: I choose a subject every month, usually after discussing in the chat room about what roomies want to submit. The assignment image can be current or past work, but the more current-the better. Send your submissions to PHOTOGIF@AOL.COM with the subject line stating that it is for the Monthly Assignment.
-MY BEST IMAGE: If you have a truly outstanding image (1) that you are proud of, send it in and share it with all of us. Please state on the subject line email of the submission that it is for the My Best Image page, so I know what to do with it.
-FEATURED PHOTOGS: If you have several very good images and would like to be "featured", send them to me stating that the images are for the Featured Photog page.
-GROUP MEETS: Groups of us get together in various parts of the country to synergize and shoot images in different areas. This page is for the shots that we invariably take of each other and the group during the "meet" (lots of fun, by the way, and a good way to see a locale with someone who KNOWS the area and can take you to the best places to shoot).
-CAMERA CLUB: DKCaroline hosts this room on weekly basis. The room is subject specific and we usually have someone sub-host the room who has knowledge in a specific area of photography. Send your email address to DKCaroline@aol.com asking to be placed on the mailing list to be reminded of time/date/subject for the club meeting. Also feel free to submit ideas to her for subject areas that you would like to hear discussed.
-BOOKS PAGE: my list of favorite books that I have found informational and not just full of nice images.
-ITEMS FOR SALE: Feel free to send me an email detailing any item you would like to sell.
